I got two Problems here and one wish.1. The Robbers are just spawning to close at the town. At the beginning with 30-50 People thats no problem. But when you got a Town between 150-200 People the size of the town is large. The problem is here that the Robbers are just spawning next to my defence structures. My people have to hurry through the whoule town and when they arrive at the Gate/Tower than it is already destroyed.2. When i activate the alarm all people hurry back to town.

As an avid fan of Madruga Works' Planetbase, the final release of Dawn of Man came after much anticipation. I first previewed the developer's next game in late January and generally liked what I saw. Now that the dawn has arrived, I've spent a little more time in the world of man's early history. I put 16 hours into Dawn of Man, on top of the 32 hours I played for my preview.
So far so good. But a few folks just dont want to hurry. 'Hey there is a big horde of bad guys comming and they want to kill us? Ah never mind ill take it easy.' This is just ridiculous. Everyone should run back to town.
And it dosent matter if you are hungry or sleepy because when there is a life threatening danger ahead you will not 'take it easy'.I like that the animals are doning the same. But some of them are also goofing arround.My wish:I played now every map and i got every Milestone. But i have one issue.
The defences are to weak. The second tower is the best tower in the game but it is to weak against 30 enemies. Eaven when i place eight of them they will be destroyed. The same problems occures to both gates. The better one is so weak that itll not hold 15 seconds against 30 attackers.
This is in my opinion annoying. With a big city you sould be able to defend yourself without the destruction of your whoule defence system.What i also dont like is that the enemy can tear down your walls. Spears and Bows? Eaven Wooden walls shouldnt be destruced with that kind of weaponery.

I'd rather the raiders have some other 'objective' than throwing themselves at you and dying. Like, what are they raiding for? Massacre a town and take over while outnumbered 5-20 to one? I'd rather the attack not be announced until they've gotten within sight of a villager. They look for a few buildings or something vulnerable, break it and take what they can.
The only time slaughter should be their objective is in the warriors scenario. Because at this point, they're just knowingly walking into their deaths. Like that the riders destroy in the winter scenario your whoule town instead to rob your animals and ressources.On the other hand do i dissagree on the part that i am supposed to open the gate to kill the raiders.
On an historical/stratigic point this is one of the dumbest things you can do in a defence situation. The enemy has no sige equipment, so they sould NOT be able to break through your gare or to tear down towers. To endanger the lives of your people just to save a few towers is ridicolus. It would also make gates useless.
I can assure you that people in the iron age did sige battles. Not the gigantic ones like in the middle age, but they had some.

Realistically, it isn't. Trying to mix the two. Too much realism makes the game worse generally, while not enough ruins immersion and leads to the same issue. Its all about balance. Right now, the only balance really out of whack is how fragile the towers are. Given that only two people can attack from them at a time, having them be a bit more durable doesn't seem too OP to me.
They could even make them significantly stronger but cause the people inside to take a randomly rolled amount of damage (high enough that they have a 10-25% chance to die outright, higher chances being on elderly due to lower max HP). If the occupants are in actual danger, then the towers could be justified having something like 12x the health or reduced damage based on the tech level of incoming attacks.
